Music Program

Grades 3 and 4 may choose Junior Choir or Music Appreciation as their in school music class. All 3rd and 4th grade students are asked to complete the form below to indicate their choice.

Grade 5 through 8 students may choose Select Middle School Choir (audition required), Percussion Group, or Music Appreciation. Students choosing Select Middle School Choir also have an after school rehearsal each Tuesday from 2:40-4:00 PM. Activity fees apply.

With the exception of Music Appreciation, all groups will be performing at the Christmas Concert, Spring Arts Festival and additional school events.

Select Middle School Choir - Gr 5 - 8

• Auditions - in school - date TBA
• Members must be able to commit to additional Tuesday after school rehearsals weekly, October - May. Extended Care fees apply (as with all after school clubs )
• Required dress for concerts:
  • Black dress shirt or blouse 
  • Black dress slacks or knee length skirt  - no jeans or leggings - a black knee length dress also acceptable.
  • No color embelishments on any clothing
  • Black dress shoes (no high heels, sneakers or sandals)
  • Neutral or black hoseiry for girls, black socks for boys
• Select Choir t-shirt will be provided by the school for the some concert(s). Members will also need jeans (no rips, no leggings/jeggings) and sneakers.

  • White dress shirt or blouse 
  • Black dress slacks or knee length skirt  - no jeans or leggings 
  • No color embellishments on any clothing
  • Black dress shoes (no high heels, sneakers or sandals)
  • Neutral or black hosiery for girls, black socks for boys
• No fee for participation, as all rehearsals are during the school day. However  members will need to purchase a Select Choir t-shirt, which will be used for some concert(s).Members will also need jeans (no rips, no leggings/jeggings) and sneakers.
